“Recreative food” vs “nutritional food”

Some people ask us: “Why should I use Bivo? If it is not dietetic, why should I use it?”. For sure, with Bivo you know exactly the quantity of calories you are getting and that quantity can be modulated at will. But this is not the only reason why it is a good choice to eat Bivo.

The reasons why, in our opinion, it is useful to consume Bivo are many: nutritional efficiency, comfort, environmental sustainability of the product, affordability and many more.

But the main reason why to consume Bivo derives from the same motive that originated the product. The great innovation of Bivo is at conceptual level: Bivo introduces the concept of “nutritional food” (food which is eaten mainly for nutrition). The ingredients used by Bivo are very simple: it is made from high quality, genuine, vegetal raw materials, combined in such a way that makes product taste good, nutritionally complete and balanced.

The reason why Bivo creates debate, cannot be found in the ingredients but in a cultural factor which conditions people’s judgement. People are not used to conceptually separate between “recreational food” and “nutritional food”.

Nobody says Bivo can replace dinners with friends, Sunday lunches or candle light dinners with the partner.

The concept of “nutritional food” is, anyway, radically different than the situations we have just mentioned.  Often we do not eat in a relaxed or convivial atmosphere, but with the simple reason to feed ourselves. In this situations many times we find ourselves eating in a hurry, while doing something else, without even noticing what we are eating, and how much we are eating. In this kind of situations, why should we eat a toast (or a sandwich or a pasta or a slice of pizza) when we don’t have the tranquillity to enjoy it? If our objective is nutrition why eating a meal which is not balanced without having the time to appreciate it, chew it and digest it properly?

We believe that when you have little time to eat what you need is efficient and healthy food (better if it tastes good, like Bivo).

Why people, when they only need nutritionally balanced food which can give the energy they need for the day, choose unhealthy and nutritionally incomplete options?

It may seem a poor choice if we evaluate it rationally. We think people make such choices simply out of habit, because there is no better alternative. Bivo wants to be exactly the smart alternative for the situations where the main objective is “nutritional food”.

We notice that people who are clear about the difference between “recreative food” and “nutritional food” has been supporting us since the beginning: to them goes our warm thanks!!
